Frequently Asked Questions
-
What applications are GF 208 intended for?
GF 208 is designed for window decals, temporary product markings, point of purchase displays and protective masking.
-
What way is best for applying this product, the dry or wet apply method?
You can use either application method for this product, but the best way for a smooth, bubble free application, is to spray the glass and the graphic surface, using a wet edged squeegee to easily apply the graphic.
-
Can I put GF 208 on both the inside and outside of a window?
Yes, as long as the non-printed side is affixed to the window, either option will work. GF 208 is not intended for inside applications where the graphics are going to be read from outside. (Please note that applying the printed side to a window suface may result in ink transfer once the decal is removed).
-
How do I know if my surface is prepared properly before installation?
The surface must be clean, smooth, and as close to room temperature as possible. Cold surfaces reduce the cling of the vinyl. Small decals may be applied dry. Large decals should be applied by wetting the substrate and the decal with approved application fluid. Use a roller or wet-edged squeegee to apply the decal onto the substrate.
