Le système UV multicolore au prix le plus compétitif de M&R imprime et polymérise jusqu'à six couleurs simultanément. Comme les substrats n’ont pas besoin d’être séchés et empilés entre les couleurs, ils n’ont pas à être manipulés à plusieurs reprises. Cela évite les changements dimensionnels des substrats et s'avère particulièrement avantageux pour les supports fragiles comme le verre. Étant donné qu’Insignia produit des impressions finies en une seule rotation, il est possible d'effectuer des ajustements de couleur et de repérage pour approbation par le client avant le lancement de la production.
L’entraînement par servomoteur avec vitesse d’indexation réglable est de série. Insignia peut indexer dans les deux sens et dispose d'un décollement d’écran entraîné par engrenages automatiquement synchronisé ainsi que du système de récupération d’encre de M&R. Les Insignia sont disponibles avec des surfaces d’impression maximales de 63 x 96 cm (25 po x 38 po), 76 x 102 cm (30 po x 40 po) et 102 x 155 cm (40 po x 61 po). L’Insignia B-Zero™ est dimensionné selon la norme ISO B0 de 100 x 141,4 cm (40 po x 56 po). Des lampes fixes montées entre les têtes d’impression assurent une polymérisation exceptionnelle. Chaque station de polymérisation dispose d’un réglage de mise au point à point unique afin que les lampes puissent être optimisées pour des matériaux de différentes épaisseurs. Chaque lampe possède des réglages de puissance indépendants gérés depuis le panneau de commande principal et est capable d'un fonctionnement totalement indépendant.
Le système de polymérisation standard d’Insignia de 118 watts/cm (300 watts/po) peut être réglé sur 49, 79, 98 ou 118 watts/cm (125, 200, 250 ou 300 watts/po). Insignia propose également un système de polymérisation UV de 400 watts et le système de polymérisation UV Switchback™ de M&R. Le système optionnel de 157 watts/cm (400 watts/po) peut être réglé sur 63, 79, 118 et 157 watts/cm (160, 200, 300 et 400 watts/po). Le système de polymérisation UV optionnel Switchback™ est infiniment réglable de 63 à 157 watts/cm (160 à 400 watts/po) et accepte trois types de lampes UV—ferrique/oxyde de fer, gallium et vapeur de mercure (standard)—permettant aux opérateurs de sélectionner la source de polymérisation et l’intensité optimales, même pour les combinaisons encre/substrat les plus difficiles. La plupart des modèles offrent des doubles lampes en option à chaque station pour assurer une polymérisation supplémentaire (les modèles 4056 & 4061 n'offrent des doubles lampes qu'à la dernière station).
