High Speed Printing The TS500-1800 dye sublimation inkjet printer can print at high speeds up to 1615 SqFt/Hr (150 SqM/h). The print heads are arranged in a staggered configuration, producing a larger print swath and enabling faster production speeds. Variable Drop Printing Produces Smooth Images The advantage of variable drop printing is most apparent when printing color gradations in light or pastel colors. In addition, variable drop printing delivers fine, high resolution prints that are less granular by jetting two different ink drop sizes at a time. Ink Mist Reduction Embedded intake/exhaust fans create airflow that forces ink mists through filters. The reduction of these troublesome ink mists provide stable printer operation. Mimaki Degassing Module for Lower Ink Costs A degassing process is required for manufacturing conventional pouched ink. An embedded system – the Mimaki Degassing Module (MDM-20) – enables the printer to use 2 liter bottled inks instead of conventional degassed ink packs, reducing costs. Uninterrupted Ink Supply System Utilizing the UISS (Uninterrupted Ink Supply System) when one bottle is emptied, the printer automatically switches to the full container of the same color to deliver continuous imaging. MJF500-1800 Industrial Media Handling System (optional) This bulk roll media handling system adds versatility and expands the capabilities for high-speed dye sublimation printing. It can handle paper rolls up to 600 lbs. (272 kg) with an external diameter of 20 inches, offering the ability to take full advantage of the high throughput capabilities of the TS500-1800 printer.
